Our History

St. Joseph's School, started in 2007 and it is run by The Sisters of Congregation of Teresian Carmelites (CTC). Vijaya Matha Region, Kollam. It is named after St. Joseph, the patron of our School.

The Servant of God Mother Eliswa, is the foundress of the Congregation. She was the first religious sister in Kerala. The congregation was started with the aim of educating girls at a time when education denied for girls. She was committed to women empowerment and made the women of her time to be self-reliant and were adequately trained to carry out the functions of a good mother. Mother Eliswa was declared as the servant of God on May 31, 2008. She remained as a humble instrument of God and led a deep prayerful life which made her to initiate many good deeds. The congregation continues today following the spirit and charism of the foundress. Let us ask the intercession of our Mother Eliswa with most love and goodwill.

The school was established with the objective of imparting good education to the children of the coastal families and is now functioning as an English Medium School with the approval of the Government from LKG to 7th class. The school is located in Chethi, Mararikulam North Panchayath, Cherthala, Alapuzha.

Each of the children studying here must become good citizens in their future. We want them to get the blessing they need from this institution.
